Thrilled to be returning to the Melbourne theatre scene with Burning Deck Theatre Company for 2016’s Midsumma festival. “Untitled, or The Seat of Narcissa” is playing at La Mama from 19-31st January. From award winning writer Sofia Chapman’s Burning Deck Theatre Company, Untitled, or The Seat of Narcissa looks at the behaviour and reactions of those who entertain and enable narcissists to indulge their passions and bigotries. I’d love to see you there!
I’m starting rehearsals this week for a very special one off Anniversary celebration with [Foreign Affairs] ‘By Invitation Only’ – to celebrate 4 years of Pop-Up Theatre from the wonderful team! Ssssh – it’s a party! For one night only, this unique theatrical event will allow you to experience a range of dramatic pieces from around the globe, shuffling the theatrical tracks, from one moment to the next. You can find out more here.
I’m currently in rehearsals for “Waiting on Shakespeare” – the next instalment from [Foreign Affairs]. We open on the 10th of December – nearly there!!
Our director, Claudio Hochman has been in the room with us via skype (as he is based in Portugal!!) and our cast of 8 has 7 different nationalities!
Certainly keeping the [Foreign Affairs] ethos alive!!
I’m loving the challenge of Shakespeare and the fun of working with such vibrant, joyous actors. We have launched our first kickstarter campaign, which you can check out here– please share it, tweet, post it, or donate – every bit helps!
If you’re in London, I hope you can make it to the show!
